1. If valve part number is not 06F 129 101 E, and hose part number is not 06F 103 221 H, replace the crankcase ventilation system pressure

regulating valve and hose (Figure 1, Points 1 & 2). Tighten the bolts holding the pressure regulating valve to 4 Nm.

2. If valve part number is 06F 129 101 E and hose is not 06F 103 221 H, replace the hose only (Figure 1, Point 2 only). Tighten the bolts holding the

pressure regulating valve to 4 Nm.

3. If valve part number is not 06F 129 101 E, and hose is 06F 103 221 H, replace the valve only (Figure 1, Point 1 only). Tighten the bolts holding

the pressure regulating valve to 4 Nm.

4. If valve part number is 06F 129 101 E, and hose part number is 06F 103 221 H, no part replacement is necessary. Reassemble parts and tighten the

bolts holding the pressure regulating valve to 4 Nm.

5. Clear fault codes, if present.
