Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Multimeter.

‹› Wiring diagram.

Test requirements

‹› The Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor (G336 ) fuse OK.

‹› The Engine Component Power Supply Relay (J757) OK.

‹› The parking brake engaged.

‹› The battery voltage at least 12.5 V.

‹› The selector lever of automatic transmission in position "P" or " N".

‹› All electrical consumers switched off (radiator fan must NOT run during test).

‹› A/C switched off.

‹› The fuel tank at least 1/4 filled.

‹› The ignition switched off.

Test procedure

Perform a preliminary check to verify the customers complaint. Refer to => [ General Diagnosis ] See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing
and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/General Diagnosis.

Start diagnosis

Remove the rear engine cover - arrows -.

‹› The Intake manifolds have been removed for clarity.

Disconnect the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor (G336) electrical harness connector - 1 -.
