Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Service and Repair

Tiptronic Switch

CVT/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/01J Transmission/Selector Lever Handle and Shift Mechanism Cover Assembly Overview
must be replaced, to replace the Tiptronic switch (F189).

‹› If malfunctions at the Tiptronic switch (F189) occur, check first whether the magnet at the control slide masking panel is properly secured and

replace the masking panel if necessary. Before replacing the printed circuit, check the wiring.

Removing

Remove the cover for the shift mechanism. Refer to => [ Shift Mechanism Cover ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Continuously Variable
Transmission/Transaxle/Shifter CVT/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/01J Transmission/Shift Mechanism Cover.

Press down the retaining hooks - arrows - and pull off the cover - 2 - from the guide - 1 -.

-

Remove the circuit board with integrated Tiptronic switch (F189).

Check the magnets - arrows - on the cover strip for secure seating.
