Steering Column Control Module: Service and Repair
Steering Column Switches

Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module

If the control module was replaced, the select the control module in "Guided Functions"Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS
5051.

-

Remove Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM). Refer to => [ Steering Column Switch Module ].

Removing

‹› Steering must be in center position (wheels in straight ahead position) when removing and installing coil connector with slip ring.

-

Carefully release catches - arrows -.

-

Pull return spring with slip ring - 2 - with Steering Angle Sensor (G85) - item 1 - off from steering column switch module (SCSM).

-

Remove screws - arrows -.

-

Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) - item 1 - from steering column switch module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

Make sure all fasteners and electrical connectors are properly engaged.

Install Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM).
