Rear Side Airbag Crash Sensor 

‹› Removal:

‹› In the illustration, crash sensor for rear side airbag is depicted on the passenger side. The removal and installation on the driver's side is done in the

same way.

Disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove side upholstery.

-

Disengage tab on yellow connector - 3 - and disconnect connector.

-

Remove two bolts - 2 - on crash sensor.

‹› Installing:

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

-

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect the battery ground (GND) strap.

‹› Follow safety measures after connecting battery. 

‹› If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ( K75) shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle

Diagnostic, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A), cleared and then rechecked.
