Subframe Bushing
Subframe bushings, replacing
Note:

There are different subframe versions.
^
Subframe with bonded rubber bushings in subframe/body mountings (all vehicles except convertible). Bonded rubber bushings can be replaced.

Subframe with welded steel bushings instead of bonded rubber bushings in subframe/body mountings (Convertible models only). Steel bushings
cannot be replaced, replace subframe when damaged.

Subframe must be removed in order to replace subframe bushings.
Removing bonded rubber bushing

Saw or cut off rubber bead on subframe bushing as far as outer edge.
Note:

Apply corrosion protection if paint surface on subframe is damaged.
Removing rear bonded rubber bushing
Make sure installation tool 3372 is properly seated and cannot tilt out of position.
