Measure and note thickness of removed circlip.

‹› When installing, circlip must be replaced with a new circlip of same thickness.

Lay input shaft cover - 1 - on pressure stand (T40099) and place under hydraulic press.

Remove bearing "A" (transmission input shaft ball bearing) using the tube (VW 416 B) from the input shaft cover.

‹› In some cases, the bearing "A" (transmission input shaft ball bearing) can be pressed out by hand with having to use the hydraulic press.

‹› Ball bearing must be replaced.

Installing
