1- Locking cable

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:
-

Route locking cable kink-free behind instrument panel strut -arrow-.

-

Turn ignition key into driving position ( "ignition on" ).

-

Insert locking cable -1- into ignition/starter switch.

-

Check interlock lever -2-.

-

Bring ignition/starter switch into locking position ( "ignition off" ).

-

Check whether selector lever is in position "P".

-

Engage locking cable eye into pin -3-.

-

Lift securing spring -4- slightly.

-

Slide locking cable support bracket -5- from right into shift mechanism until securing spring -4- engages.

-

Adjust locking cable.

-

Observe procedures for connecting battery.
