Press selector shaft lever -A- on transmission completely toward rear -arrow- until parking lock engages.

Note:

When parking lock is engaged, it must not be possible to turn both front wheels in one direction at the same time.

Then press selector shaft forward 3 detents, so transmission is in "D" position.

Ensure selector lever in vehicle is also in "D" position.

Carefully press selector lever cable ball socket -5- onto selector shaft lever -7- in this position.

Note:

Take care not to bend selector shaft lever when pressing it on; support it if necessary, as otherwise selector mechanism can no longer be
adjusted properly.

Check exact position of selector lever in position "D" by pushing selector lever lightly towards drivers seat -arrow A-.

Note:

^

Do not touch selector lever during the adjustment.

Tighten clamping screw with Socket T40031 through hole in shift mechanism while in this position, without touching selector lever.

-

Adjust selector lever cable.
