Transmission Mount: Service and Repair

Transmission Mount and Crossmember

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine and transmission jack (VAG 1383 A)

‹› Wooden block

Removing

-

Loosen the quick release screws - 2 - and -  3 - and remove the rear noise insulation.

‹› The flex joint in the front exhaust pipe must not be bent more than 10 degrees, otherwise it may be damaged.

Disconnect the exhaust system at both double clamps - arrows  -.

-

Position the plunger of the engine and transmission jack (VAG 1383 A) with a block of wood - 1 - under the transmission.
