Preparation for pulley removal
Preparation for pulley removal
–  Switch off the ignition.
–  Remove the front noise insulation. → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50
–  Mark the direction of the poly V-belt (always heed the routing of the poly V-belt in the relevant Workshop Manual for the engine concerned) → Engine, mechanics; Rep. gr.13.
–  Slacken off and detach the poly V-belt → Engine, mechanics; Rep. gr.13.
  Note
Prior to removal, mark the direction of the poly V-belt with chalk or a felt-tip pen. Running a used belt in the opposite direction could destroy it.
