Removing and installing particulate filter - vehicles with dual clutch gearbox 0B5

Removing –  Remove rear noise insulation panel -2- → Rep. gr.66.

Caution Risk of damage to flexible joint in front exhaust pipe. Do NOT bend flexible joint in front exhaust pipe more than 10°. –  Loosen bolt connections -arrows- on clamp. –  Push clamp back and lower front exhaust pipe slightly.

–  Remove nut -1-.   Note t  The nuts -2- are removed at a later stage. t  Disregard -item 3-. –  Secure front exhaust pipe with clamp. –  Remove plenum chamber partition panel → Rep. gr.50.

–  Take electrical connector -3- out of bracket, unplug it and move electrical wiring clear. –  Unplug electrical connector -2-, unclip pressure differential sender -G505- from bracket and move clear.   Note Ignore item marked -1-.

–  Detach electrical connectors -1 and 4- from bracket and unplug.   Note Disregard items marked -2 and 3-.

–  Remove nuts -arrows- and detach particulate filter from turbocharger.

–  Remove nuts -2- (accessible from above) and detach particulate filter.   Note Disregard -item 3-. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Silencers - exploded view“   Note Renew seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts. –  Electrical connections and routing → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations. –  Install plenum chamber partition panel → Rep. gr.50. –  Align the exhaust system so it is free of stress → Chapter. –  Install noise insulation → Rep. gr.66. –  After renewing particulate filter, perform Adaption in Guided Functions → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
