Safety precautions
Note the following if testers and measuring instruments have to be used during a road test:
  WARNING
Accidents can be caused if the driver is distracted by test equipment while road-testing, or if test equipment is not properly secured.
Persons sitting in the front passenger's seat could be injured if the airbag is triggered in an accident.
l  The use of test equipment while driving causes distraction.
l  There is an increased risk of injury if test equipment is not secured.
Test equipment must always be secured on the rear seat with a belt and operated from the rear seat by a second person.
To prevent injuries to persons and/or irreparable damage to the fuel injection and ignition system, the following must be noted:
t  Do not touch or disconnect ignition coils when the engine is running or being turned at starter speed.
t  The ignition must be switched off before disconnecting or connecting ignition system wiring, high-voltage wires and test leads.
t  Always switch off the ignition before cleaning the engine.
t  Always switch off the ignition before connecting or disconnecting the battery, otherwise the engine control unit may be damaged.

t  If you want to crank the engine at starting speed without actually starting it (e.g. compression test), first unplug connector -2- at engine speed sender -G28-.
