  Note
t  The purpose of centralising the steering is merely to „align“ the steering for subsequent work.
t  The precise steering wheel centre point is determined by measuring the steering wheel lock using the wheel alignment computer.
t  If the steering wheel is found to be out of alignment after determining the centre position of the steering, inspect the steering and suspension for damage or distortion and renew any damaged parts. Also check the symmetry of the track rods → Chapter.
