Removing and installing bracket for mounting for headlight housing

Removing
–  Remove front bumper cover → Rep. gr.63.
–  Removing headlight housing:
t  Halogen headlights: vehicles up to 10.2008: → Chapter, vehicles from 11.2008 onwards → Chapter, vehicles from model year 2012 onwards → Chapter.
t  Gas discharge headlights: vehicles up to model year 2011 → Chapter, USA vehicles up to model year 2011 → Chapter, vehicles from model year 2012 onwards → Chapter.
–  If fitted, remove headlight washer jet → Chapter.
–  Unplug electrical connector on front airbag crash sensor → Rep. gr.69.
–  Remove bolts -1, 2, 3-.
–  Release retaining tab -5--arrow- and remove bracket -4- from lock carrier.
–  If bracket is renewed:
t  Detach mounting for headlight housing → Chapter.
t  Remove crash sensor for front airbag → Rep. gr.69.

Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter, → Chapter.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Fit bracket on wing and on lock carrier and hand-tighten bolts -1, 2, 3-.
–  Install headlight washer jet → Chapter.
–  Install front bumper cover → Rep. gr.63.
–  Align gap widths of bumper cover in relation to body contours.
l  Gap width = gaps must be uniform.
–  Tighten bolts.
–  Check gap widths again and repeat adjustment if necessary.
–  Install headlight housing:
t  Halogen headlights: vehicles up to 10.2008: → Chapter, vehicles from 11.2008 onwards → Chapter, vehicles from model year 2012 onwards → Chapter.
t  Gas discharge headlights: vehicles up to model year 2011 → Chapter, USA vehicles up to model year 2011 → Chapter, vehicles from model year 2012 onwards → Chapter.
–  Adjust headlights → Chapter.
