5. Insert a section of butyl cord (AKL 450 005 05) 80 mm long.

Install the length of the cord such that the center point of the section is at the apex of the seal. Make sure that it is evenly spread between both edges in
the outer groove. It may help to knead the cord to ease in installation. Push any excess into the end chambers.

6. Press the seal on the cover and press firmly to ensure a good seal. Make sure the seal is correctly positioned on the cover.

7. Carefully reinstall the removed parts.

8. Even if the leak is only present on one side, perform this procedure again on the other side.
