TV Tuner, from November 03, 2008

The TV Tuner (R78) is located behind the luggage compartment left side trim in the Infotainment rack.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Turn off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

Removing

Remove the Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) and its mount, where applicable.

-

Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

-

Disconnect the connectors on the Digital Sound System Control Module (J525).

-

Attach the Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.

-

Remove the nuts - 1 - and screws - 3 - on the bracket - 2 - and lift the bracket with the Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) - 2 -into the
luggage compartment.
