CD Changer: Service and Repair

The CD Changer (R41) is located in the glove compartment.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Radio Removal Tool (T10057)
‹› Fiber Optic Plier Repair Set (VAS 6223)
‹› Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.
Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Turn off all electrical consumers.

Remove ignition key.
Removing

Open glove box.

Insert two clips on Radio Removal Tool (T10057) in release slits on CD Changer (R41) until they engage. Points on the grip eyelets of tool face
outward.

Remove CD Changer (R41) from mounting frame.

Disconnect all connectors on the CD Changer (R41).

Attach the Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.
