Remove the center console insert. Refer to => [ Center Console Insert ].

Remove the front ashtray. Refer to => [ Front Ashtray ].

Versions with a 12 V socket: Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -.

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 3 -.

Vehicles with a front center armrest: Remove the front center armrest. Refer to => [ Front Center Armrest, ] See: Arm Rest/Service and
Repair/Front Center Armrest.

Vehicles without a front center armrest: Remove the instrument panel cover and nuts- 1 -. Refer to => [ Center Console Cover ].  See: Center
Console Cover

-

Versions with a telephone/cellular phone: Disconnect electrical connections.

-

Lift the center console and remove it back out of the instrument panel and over the selector lever/shift lever.
