Sill Panel Trim

Sill Panel Trim

‹› Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing

-

Remove lower A pillar trim => [ Lower A-Pillar Trim ]. See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Interior Trim/Lower A-Pillar Trim

Unclip the sill panel strip - 1 - from the sill panel beginning at the front using the Trim Removal Wedge (3409) - A arrows -.

Disengage the sill panel strip from the side trim - arrow B - and remove it.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

‹› If the sill panel strip clips remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

‹› Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Engage the sill panel strip in the side trim and press it onto the sill panel until it engages audibly.

Stretch the door seal lip over.
