‹› Locking compound fluid (D 000 600 A2)

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

‹› Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This

can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove front seat:

‹› Standard seat, sport seat (power) and comfort seat => [ Power Standard Front Seats ].

‹› Super sport seat => [ Super Sport Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Super Sport Front Seat with or without

Memory Function.

Attach front seat to Fixture For Seat Repair (VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Seat Versions Overview.

Remove the tunnel side trim. Refer to => [ Trim, Tunnel Side ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats
and sill side trim => [ Trim, Sill Side ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats.

Remove backrest cover panel. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats.

Make a permanent mark (a line) on the left and right side - arrow A - on the backrest frame - 2 - on the front edge - arrow B - of the anchor - 1 -.
