Clean air filter housing (upper and lower sections) of salt residue, dirt or leaves (use vacuum cleaner if necessary).

Check intake ducting up to air filter element for dirt.

When installing air filter element, make sure it is centered in the mount in lower section of the air filter housing.

Assemble new air filter element with upper section of air filter housing.

The tab on air filter element - 1 - must align with tab on air filter housing - 2 -.
