Digital Sound System Control Module, MMI from November 03, 2008

The Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) is located behind the left luggage compartment side trim on the top of the Infotainment rack.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Turn off all electrical consumers.

Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

-

Disconnect all connectors on Digital Sound System Control Module (J525).

-

Attach the Protective Cap for Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.

-

Remove the bolts - 1 - (5 Nm) at Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) - 2 - and remove Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) - 2 -
from the bracket - 3 -.
