Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

‹› Follow the disposal regulations for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic Restraint System Component Disposal ] See:

Service and Repair.

Move the steering wheel as far down as possible using the whole steering column adjusting range.

-

Switch the ignition on.

-

Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. 

-

Turn the steering wheel so the cap on the rear side faces straight down and aligns with the opening on the steering column switch module lower
trim.

-

Pry the cap off - arrow -.

-

Remove the driver airbag bolt - arrow -.
