Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

Shift Lock Solenoid

Removing

-

Place selector lever in position "P".

-

Remove the multimedia control head (E380).

-

Remove front ashtray. 

-

Loosen nuts - 1, 3, 5 and 6 - several turns but do not remove them completely.

‹› This lowers the shift mechanism function unit slightly for better accessibility. 

CAUTION!
The shift mechanism can be destroyed by broken retaining clips, tabs or other objects.
