‹› Wear protective goggles!

Remove the hose connection from the clutch slave cylinder and seal it.

Remove the bolt - 3 - and remove the clutch slave cylinder - 1 - toward the rear.

‹› To prevent dirt from getting in, seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug taken from the engine plug set (VAS 6122).

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

‹› If damaged, replace the O-ring.

‹› If clutch slave cylinder is guided on at an angle, there is the danger that the plunger may be guided past the clutch release lever.

Preload the clutch slave cylinder - 1 - enough that the bolt - 3 - can be inserted easily. Tightening specification => [ (Item 17) Bolt ] See: Service

Press the securing clip - 1 - in as far as the stop. 

-

Insert the line in the clutch slave cylinder until it engages.

-

Verify by pulling on hose/line assembly.
