Lightly oil new seal on outer circumference.

Drive the new left flange shaft seal in as far as the stop without tilting it.

Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease (G 052 128 A1).

Set differential in place.

Install the differential cover with a new O-ring and tighten the bolts - arrows -.

Always replace the right flange shaft circlip - A -.

Clamp flange shaft in vise, using jaw protectors. Press circlip with new circlip - A - out of flanged shaft groove.

Drive the right flange shaft in using the centering mandrel (VW 295).

Rotate the clutch module - 1 - until the opening to the differential - arrow 3 - is seen.
