Tailgate Trim, Removing And Installing

Tailgate trim (bottom section)

Removing
-

Remove bolt - 3 - (1x).

-

Remove screw behind warning triangle Fig. 1.

-

Pull bottom section of trim - 1 - away from tailgate slightly.

-

Using a screwdriver, release clips - 6 -(8x) on bottom section of trim - 1 -.

-

Push out light - 8 - from inside.

-

Disconnect connector for light - 8 -.

Installing
-

Locate bottom section of trim - 1 - at rear window first, and clip into place.

-

Make sure that screw - 3 - also secures grip molding - 4 - (shown in inset A).
