Always replace gasket for ATF plug.

Tighten ATF plug to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.).
^
Press --> button at V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool.
^
Enter "06" for function "End output' and confirm entry by pressing "Q" button.
ATF, changing or adding after repair.
Special tools and equipment

Drip tray VAG 1306
^
ATF filling device VAG 1924
^
Engine not running.
^
Hang up container of ATF filling device VAG 1924 on vehicle as high as possible.
^
Lift vehicle.
Note:

Observe correct disposal of old ATF.
^
Do not start engine without ATF. The vehicle must also not be towed unless there is ATF in the transmission.
^
Place drip tray VAG 1306 under transmission.
