Condition
Unnecessary replacement of LDP due to mis-diagnosed leakage.
Service
As long as the Leak Detection Pump -V144- is operational you can quickly diagnose it as OK or leaking using the following method.
Prior to checking the LDP:

Ensure that vacuum at vacuum hose to LDP item -2- on illustration 20-A175 is equal to vacuum at port (source) at throttle body.

Connect the VAS 5051 or VAS 5052 Diagnostic tool.

Start engine and run at idle only.

From VAS 5051 Start-up screen, select "Vehicle self diagnosis".

Select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics".
