Release locking lugs -arrows- and pull self-canceling ring with slip ring off steering column switch.

NOTE:
-

The steering must be in the center position (wheels in straight-ahead position) when the self-canceling ring and slip ring are removed and
installed.

As a replacement part, self-canceling ring with slip ring is secured in the center position with a cable tie or a tearing-ring.

For vehicles with ESP the sensor in return ring with slip ring, steering angle sensor -G85-, must be adjusted.

NOTE:

After connecting battery, check vehicle equipment (radio, clock, power windows) as per Repair Manual and/or Owner's manual.

If the airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K75- signals a malfunction after assembling then the DTC memory must be erased and checked
again with VAG 1551 scan tool.
