Swing universal joint to side. 

^

Remove ignition key when steering wheel is centered. 

^

Move steering wheel slightly to engage steering lock.

Note:  If the steering wheel is turned too much with the steering gear removed, the spiral spring from the airbag may get turned too far and
damaged.

^

Pinch off intake line and return line using 3094 hose clamps.

^

Remove front wheels.

^

Remove hex bolt -1- and bolt -2-. 

^

Remove tie rod.
