VAS 6034 Nut

Note:  
^

Removed and installed mounts with subframe lowered.

^

If front bonded rubber bushing is to be replaced, loosen front subframe bolts.

^

If rear bonded rubber bushing is to be replaced, loosen tear subframe bolts.

^

If any other bolt is unfastened at front or rear of subframe, wheel alignment must be performed following installation.

^

Mark installation position of bonded rubber bushings on subframe.

^

Loosen front or rear subframe bolts.

^

Unscrew subframe bolt corresponding to position of hydro-bushing to be replaced.

^

Use engine/transmission jack VAG 1383 to carefully lower subframe by approximately 5 cm.

^

Pry aluminium shim off bonded rubber bushing using a screwdriver.

^

Use a felt-tip pen, for example, to draw the semicircular recess (arrow) on axle beam.

Extracting front bonded rubber bush

Apply special tools as shown.
