Remove circlip (arrow A) for ball bearing.

^

Press out drive flange from mounting bracket for left drive flange using VW412th rust disc.
Set mounting bracket onto VW401 and VW402 thrust plates when pressing.

Note:  Hold drive flange with one hand to keep it from falling out toward bottom.

Pull off magnetic ring for speedometer Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) -G22- from drive flange and remove from mounting bracket.

^

Press ball bearing out of mounting bracket using VW407 punch.
Set mounting bracket onto VW401 and VW402 thrust plates when pressing.
