Observe general repair notes
Rear final drive installed
Note: All illustrations show the /left side of the final drive. Removing and installing joint flange and oil seal on right side is identical
Removing drive shaft

Remove heat shields at drive flange (arrows).
^
Place drip tray underneath.
^
Disconnect drive axle.
^
To loosen securing bolt, thread in 2 bolts into drive flange and counter hold with fire iron.
^
Pry out O-ring with tire iron.
Installing drive shaft
installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Lubricate area between sealing lip and dust lip with a thin layer of multi-purpose grease.
^
Lightly oil outer circumference of seal.
