Undamaged Rear Window, Removing

Undamaged Rear Window, Removing

-

Remove tailgate lid trim.

-

Remove rear wiper.

-

Open tailgate and using handle - 1 -, insert needle under sealing lip and through adhesive bead.

-

Remove handle and thread cutting cord into needle eye.

-

Pull one end of cutting cord inward using pliers and gloves.

-

Using plastic wedge, loosen sealing lip from glass flange and spray with cleaning solution.
D009 401 04 (lubricant replacement)

-

Using pulling tube, place second cutting cord around glass.

-

Using needle and handle, pull second cutting cord end - B - inward as shown.

-

Thread cutting end - A - in VAG1654 spooling tool and fasten.
