Undamaged Side Glass, Removing

Undamaged Side Glass, Removing

-

Remove C-pillar trim.

-

Remove D-pillar trim.

-

Remove side trim.

NOTE:  Door seal must be removed at the upper -C-pillar area before the rivet heads are drilled out to disassemble the trim.

For vehicles with glass breakage sensors, disconnect harness connectors at edge of glass pane and fasten wiring toward center of glass with
adhesive tape.

CAUTION:  If the wiring is not disconnected, it will be cut during the cutting process and glass damage will result.

Remove C-pillar trim.

-

Remove anodized trim strip, lower.

CAUTION:  Even a slightly bent roof molding is damaged and must be replaced.

Using handle - 1 -, stick needle - 2 - through adhesive bead.

-

If possible, guide needle tightly toward glass.

-

Remove handle and thread cutting cord through eye of needle.

-

Pull end of cutting cord - A - inward (use pliers and gloves).

-

Pull in cutting cord - 1 - with small tube - 2 - under adhesive on side glass.
