Apply adhesive tape - 4 - to side panel to avoid damaging paintwork.

Remove trim strip - 1 - at bottom from securing clips - 2 - and pull downward out from roof edging trim.

Pop rivet

-

Carefully remove roof trim strip - 1 - from securing clips using plastic wedge, starting from bottom.

CAUTION:  Do not bend the roof trim strip.

Lay cutting cord around side window as shown.

Secure ends - x - and - y - in two pull handles from special tool VAG1351.

-

Pull cutting cord in direction of arrow - A - using light sawing action, and cut through adhesive sealing material below at side panel and above at
roof frame.

Pull cutting cord downward through adhesive bead in direction of arrow - B -.

-

Remove window from window opening.
