Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Shift Shaft Seal, A/T

SELECTOR SHAFT OIL SEAL, REPLACING 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items 

3385 seal installer

Removing 

-

Remove left transmission support.

-

Remove multi-function TR switch -F125-.

-

Drive roll pin -1- out of selector lever on transmission -2- (arrow).

-

Pull selector lever off selector shaft.

-

Pry seal out using screwdriver.

Installing 

-

Drive in new seal until press tool contacts stop, ensuring that seal remains straight.

-

Install multi-function TR switch.

-

Push transmission selector lever onto selector shaft and drive in roll pin.
