Removing and Installing

DIFFERENTIAL GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

Note:

Clamp rear final drive in the holding fixture refer to Fig. 1.

An asterisk (*) indicates adjustment work is required if these components are replaced.

1. Breather

With rubber valve

Installation position refer to Fig. 4

2. Final drive housing*
3. Large tapered roller bearing outer race*
4. Shim S1

5. Final drive cover*

With O-ring

Always replace O-ring

6. Torx (R)

25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) 

7. Seal
8. Hex-recess bolt

25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) 

9. Drive flange

10. Oil filler plug

35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.) 

11. Differential gear with ring gear*
12. Oil drain plug

13. Holding bushing for magnet

Holds magnet in position

Drive in to stop

15. Small tapered roller bearing outer race*
