Brake Fluid Accumulator: Testing and Inspection
Checking Pressure Accumulator Pressure Relief Valve

1. Ensure pump delivery rate is within specifications. Refer to Hydraulic Booster/Testing and Inspection, step 5.
2. With engine off, depress brake pedal approximately 20 times to reduce system pressure.
3. Disconnect warning light switch electrical connector, then remove switch.
4. Attach pressure gauge with hollow bolt and copper washers to brake servo unit. Attach thick copper washer between brake servo unit and banjo

fitting and the thin copper washer between hollow bolt and banjo fitting.

5. Start engine and let idle until pressure gauge reading exceeds 2030 psi.
6. If 2030 psi cannot be achieved, replace pressure accumulator, then recheck system pressure.
