Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear Wheel

Rear axle ABS components, removing and installing

1. Rear axle beam.  Supplied as service part with sleeve for mounting ABS wheel speed sensor
2. Bolt.  Tighten to 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
3. ABS wheel speed sensor.  Pull out to remove. Left and right sensors are identical. Before installing, coat with brake assembly lube and press in by

hand until seated.

Note:  Both ABS wheel speed sensor harness connectors are located under the rear seat bench.

4. Clamping sleeve.  Before installing, coat with brake assembly lube. Press into wheel bearing housing until seated.
5. Bracket for ABS wheel speed sensor cable. Attach to side member of rear axle
6. Nut. Tighten to 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
7. Bolt and washer assembly.  Tighten to 30 Nm (22 ft lb).

8. ABS wheel speed sensor rotor. To remove, insert drift through holes in wheel hub and drive off evenly. Press on ABS wheel speed sensor rotor.
