Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
Rear

Rear wheel bearing, replacing

1. Circlip

Install in wheel bearing housing; make sure circlip is correctly seated
Split points downward

2. Wheel bearing housing

Removing and installing -  See: Wheel Bearing Housing, Servicing

3. Wheel bearing

Inner diameter has shoulder
Larger inner diameter points toward wheel hub
Pressing in and out - Fig.1
Pulling off bearing inner race - Fig. 2

4. Cover plate

Bolt onto wheel bearing housing

5. Bolt 10 Nm (7 ft lb)

6. Wheel hub

For wheel bearing with shoulder
