Remove cover (5) by inserting small screwdriver in slot (B) and releasing tab, then tilt cover down to release lower tab

Install ground wire (3), part number 4D0 419 149, using Phillips-head screw (4) located in steering wheel at right, lower corner of horn.plate
opening. The wire connector crimping must be upwards and visible to the technician

Remove horn-plate screws (2), left side of steering wheel only

Lift horn plate slightly; ensure that the washers and springs remain in position and slide ground-wire tab end (3) beneath the horn plate to
torx-screw location
