Recall Campaign KS Install Fuel Injectors

Dear Audi Owner:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Audi has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some 1993-95 model year Audi vehicles equipped with a V6 engine. Our
records show that your Audi is one of the vehicles affected by this voluntary safety recall action.

Defect Description

The defect involves the fuel injectors of your Audi vehicle. Audi has determined that an internal seal of the fuel injectors installed in affected vehicles
could malfunction and cause fuel seepage in the engine compartment. If not serviced in a timely manner, a spark leak from the spark plug wire could
cause a fire in the engine compartment.

Remedial Repair

Your authorized Audi dealer will check and/or replace, free of charge, your vehicle's fuel injectors with new injectors containing an improved seal.

Repair Schedule

Replacement fuel injector kits and necessary installation instructions should be available at authorized Audi dealers on or about March 31, 1999. When
you make an appointment with your dealer, please also inquire on the parts availability.

Anticipated Repair Time

The replacement of the fuel injectors will take approximately one hour. However, your dealer may need additional time for the preparation of the repair,
as well as to accommodate the daily workshop schedule.

The recall repair work will, of course, be performed at no charge to you.

What You Need To Do

Please contact the Service Department of your authorized Audi dealer and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Please present the enclosed
form, which identifies your vehicle to your dealer, when you bring your Audi in for the service.

Precautions

If, prior to the time that the corrective work can be performed, you should smell a fuel odor, please contact your Audi dealer immediately.

Lease Vehicle

If the vehicle identified in this recall is a leased vehicle and you are the lessor and registered owner, please forward this information by first class mail to
the lessee.
