Alignment: Service and Repair
Rear Axle

Rear axle camber (front wheel drive), checking 

Camber cannot be adjusted, only checked, on vehicles with front-wheel drive.
If measured values are not within specified range, check axle beam for damage and replace  if necessary.

Rear axle toe (front wheel drive), evening out 

Specified values for wheel alignment, Refer to Specifications.
Overall toe setting of rear axle is not adjustable.
By moving the rear axle (in the elongated holes), it is possible to even out the individual toe settings.

Loosen mounting bolts at mounting brackets.

Loosen brake pedal depressor.

^

Even out individual toe settings by moving axle beam within elongated holes in mounting brackets.

Apply brake pedal depressor.

If overall toe setting is outside permitted range, or if it is not possible to even out the individual settings, the axle beam must be checked for damage
and replaced if necessary.
It may also be necessary to check body alignment in the area of the rear axle mounting points and perform repairs as necessary.

Rear axle camber (all wheel drive vehicles), adjusting 

Specified values for wheel alignment.

Remove hex nut -1-.

Note:

The maximum adjustment range of the adjustment bolt is 90 to the left or right of center position.

Check basic setting if camber cannot be adjusted within tolerance range for a vehicle with level control.

Adjust camber by turning eccentric bolt.

^

Tighten attachment nuts, check camber value once more, and correct if necessary.

Rear axle toe (all wheel drive), adjusting 

Specified values for wheel alignment, Refer to Specifications.

Remove hex nut -1-.

Note:  The maximum adjustment range of the adjustment bolt is 90 to the left or right of center position.
