Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Transmission Input Speed Sensor-G182-

5 Speed Automatic 01V

Transmission input speed sensor-G182-, replacing 

Note:  A distinction is made between two types of transmissions.

-

Transmission with hydraulic control E17, on which the sensor for transmission RPM (inductive sensor) is secured to the underside of the valve
body.

-

Transmission with hydraulic control E1812, on which the sensor for transmission RPM (hall sensor is secured behind the valve body on
transmission housing.

For transmissions with hydraulic control E17 

Removing 
-

Remove valve body.

-

Turn valve body on its back and disconnect connector at Transmission Input Speed Sensor-1-.

-

Unbolt Transmission Input Speed Sensor-1- at valve body.

Installing 
-

Use two spacer sleeves -2- (height: 20 mm) to install Transmission Input Speed Sensor -1- and tighten to 7 Nm.

Installation position: Sensor side with connector pins faces valve body center.
