Disconnect connectors - 3 - and - 4 - from airbag unit.

-

Lay airbag down with the padded side upward.

Installing
-

Make sure that the connectors and the airbag engage fully (i.e. audibly).

WARNING:  Make sure that nobody is in the vehicle.

See Caution for connecting Telematics battery.

Switch on ignition and connect battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTE:
-

After connecting battery, check vehicle equipment (radio, clock, power windows) as per Repair Manual and/or Owner's manual.

If the airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K75- signals a malfunction after assembling then the DTC memory must be erased and
checked again with VAG 1551 scan tool.
