If no adhesive is present (metal frame around screen is visible), proceed to Section C

If no screen is present in MAS, find old screen and return to AoA with old MAS

^

Install new MAS (part # 078 133 471 C)
DO NOT INSTALL RETAINING RING IN NEW MAS.

Retaining Ring Installation

Install retaining ring -9- (part # 078 133 553) with stepped side toward screen into MAS -4- by pushing in retaining ring until it is flush with end of
MAS

Proceed to Section D

Re-assembly

^

Reinstall MAS using 4 screws -7- and tighten to 10 Nm (7 ft lb.)

NOTE:

MAKE CERTAIN SEAL -3- IS POSITIONED CORRECTLY BEFORE INSTALLING MAS

Reinstall tie wrap -1- in metal bracket -8-

^

Reconnect electrical connector to MAS

Reinstall air hose -6- between MAS -4- and intake air duct -10- and tighten clamps
