Installing

Install in reverse order. In addition, perform the following steps:

-

Check seal seat in transmission housing for damage, if necessary rework.

Position double seal on press tool 3404 so larger protruding outer ring -arrow- of seal points to tool.

-

Drive in double seal as far as possible with press tool 3404.

Note:  Install the intermediate flange on the drive pinion carefully or the seal lips could be damaged.

-

Install transfer case.
